Full throttle (😆) on the BMW R18 in preparation for the @the1moto show in Portland at the end of April! Lots of one off bits happening here. All the tins are in primer and ready for the Porsche Auratium green paint. @chucks_kustom_leather has been hard at work getting the chocolate brown grips, pegs and the seat all stitched up. Shawn at Woods Creek Machine has been 3D modeling, 3D printing and machining all kinds of one off parts. Dylon at @trauma_moto killed it with all the cerakote… even going as far as mixing our own custom “brass” color. The rolling chassis is all back together for the ‘57 cameo project! It has a really interesting suspension setup… runs air bags out the back but the front is a hydraulically actuated torsion bar setup. This was part of the original build over 20 years ago and seemed to work well so we decided to retain it. Shawn over at Woods Creek Machine helped us redesign and upgrade some of the components, Shawn (yes, another Shawn 😆) at @regenerated_rides bodyworked and satin painted the frame and Dylon from TraumaMoto handled all the burnt bronze cerakote. The whole thing is being assembled with 12 point stainless hardware from ARP. A while back we started digging into the '74 Challenger and found some botched repairs 🫣. Both shock towers were dislodged from the aprons and core support was severely damaged. 1985 Chevrolet k30 4x4... The next project in line! This one is a bit out of our wheel house but I’m really stoked about it! We plan to fully restore the truck back to showroom condition, but there’s a twist! It’s getting all modern drivetrain. GM Performance has supplied us with their HT502 crate engine. We are backing that with a new 4l85 transmission and adapting the original NP205 transfer case. We’re running an Edelbrock pro flo xt intake manifold with Holley terminator X engine and transmission management.
